August 18 1950, two friends decided to explore Otter Spring in Cub Run. The Spring flowed from the side of a steep hill & cold air rushed out of a tiny opening. The bottom of the opening was loose gravel and rocks, the two began digging. Cub Run Cave and its spectacular sights opened to the public the next year. Cub Run Cave offers a half-mile, 1 ½ hour tour, on an elevated wooden walkway. The cave is very accessible with only a few steps. www.cubruncave.net
