The Battle for the Bridge Historic Preserve is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Preserve is a stop on the Civil War Discovery Trail, the John Hunt Morgan in KY Heritage Trail and the US 31W-31E Heritage Corridor.Two miles of interpretive trail begin at the Anthony Woodson House.  Access to the trail is free and is open from dawn until dusk. More than 200 acres of the battlefield are protected at the Preserve.  From the trail you can see the L&N Railroad Bridge that was a technical marvel of its time.

In the scenic hills of Edmonson, Grayson and Hart counties, you’ll find 5,800 acres of crystal clear water. Facilities on the lake include wave runners, ski, pontoon and fishing boat rentals. Cottages, bed & breakfasts, a state park, as well as camping and picnic sites are available near the lake. The natural habitat of the lake is perfect for game fish. Nolin Lake is popular with boaters and fishermen alike. In-season catches include small mouth and large mouth bass, crappie, bluegill, walleye and catfish. There are 32 camp sites with water and electricity, 40 primitive sites, a restroom/shower building, laundry facilities and dump station. A new playground is located by the sites. Three sites have been adapted for the disabled. Open April-October. Pets are allowed if restrained.

The cliff top lodge, built of limestone and massive timbers, sits high on a bluff overlooking the 28,000-acre lake and surrounding woodlands. The 60 guest rooms feature private balconies and patios. Dale Hollow Lake covers 4,300 acres and is considered one of the nation’s best lakes for small mouth bass. There are also rainbow trout and occasional muskie and walleye catches.

Our property adjoins Mammoth Cave National Park and you do not need to cross or ride on any public roads to enter the park, just mount up and ride on in. Double J offers water and electric sites as well as rustic sites.  They offer stalls, turn out area, picketing or pens for your horses. Stalls are $7.50 per night. Space is limited and must be reserved.  Feature modern bathrooms and showers along with ice and vending machines. Mammoth Cave National Park offers 70 miles of beautiful scenic trails. Onyx Cave was discovered in 1971 as a parking lot was being constructed for Guntown Mountain Amusement Park. The cave opened for tours in May of 1973. Public Day Pass fees for the beach will be $15.00 for ages 6 and up, $7.50 for ages 4 and 5 and no fee for ages 3 and under.
